Both handles fire the same universal reload array. The AEON Powered Handle is motorized, while the AEON Manual Handle is manually operated. Surgeons can select the handle that fits their preference and procedure without changing reload systems.
The AEON system offers a universal array of 36 reloads configurations. The menu spans three anvil types and five staple heights, with additional length options, so surgeons can match the reload to the tissue in front of them.
The short tip reload is exclusive to AEON. It features 19% less anvil surface area, designed to reduce the risk of impacting surrounding delicate structures and to support access in restricted anatomy.
